Qualified Chef
Purpose
To provide a consistently high quality of food product from the kitchen brigade in a hygienic, timely, accurate manner; provide leadership and meet specified budgetary requirements
Reports to:
Hotel Manager & Head Chef
Responsible for:
Managing kitchen including financials, staff, stock, menus and promotions in a hands on, professional manner including cooking, assembly and preparation of meals. Training kitchen team to ensure all meals are presented to an exceptionally high standard. Keeping a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen. Control food cost of sales in line with budget including staff meals and wastage. Control wages including production wages and service wages in line with hotel budgets.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a High School Diploma, Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate or Bachelor's/College Degree in Food & Beverage Services Management or equivalent.
At least 6 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Supervisor / 5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employees specializing in Food/Beverage/Restaurant Service or equivalent. Job role in Chef or Food Preparation/Kitchen Hand.
